What this site is

EPC Checker is an information service for England & Wales. It is not affiliated with GOV.UK or with the Energy Performance of Buildings register, and it is not a government service.

No professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial or surveying advice. Estimates produced by our calculators are not Energy Performance Certificates and cannot be used in place of one. Only an accredited energy assessor can produce a certificate.

Accuracy

We take care with the figures and rules set out in our methodology, but certificate data may be out of date and rules change. Verify anything you intend to rely on.

Certificate and address data

Certificate data comes from the Energy Performance of Buildings register for England & Wales. Everything except the address and postcode is available under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Addresses and postcodes are Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey data, and may be used only for the purposes set out in the copyright notice shown with every lookup result. You may not copy, scrape or collect addresses from this site, build lists from them, or use them for marketing. Automated lookups are rate limited and may be blocked.
